Octopus are THE most amazing creatures and we are lucky enough to have them right on our doorstep. Steve Benjamin approached me to join him and Lauren van Noort in making a vlog style piece on the Octopus in Kalk Bay tidal pool for Animal Ocean’s Real Wild Series. We all stepped out our front door dressed to film and dive, ready to search for these cryptic creatures. As fellow camera operator and editor, I had so much fun jumping into the water with my underwater housing and searching for the Octopus in the evening light. We were lucky enough to have found 2 octopus hunting at night and a rare sighting of a cuttlefish! We have 19 tidal pools in Cape Town that are being looked after beautifully by Cape Town Tidal Pools.
