Red Espresso has been working for over 5 years with a group of dedicated and humble subsistence farmers within the Heuningvlei region, South Africa. As the client, Red Espresso came to Hermanus Gerber and myself with the request to create a short film that expresses not only their passion for being part of the local rooibos community, but what it actually means to the farmers on the ground in their everyday lives. It was an absolute pleasure to film this short piece with Hermanus Gerber as 2nd camera and drone operator. As director, camera operator and editor of this film, I witnessed first hand how passionate the Red Espresso team is about the Rooibos farming community and its’ transparency.
