Bill Bulgen is a local shaper of beautiful Woodpecker Natural Surfboards. When you surf one of his boards, you can actually feel the natural vibration of the board on the wave through your feet. It’s an incredible sensation, which brings you back to the art of old style surfing called logging. After filming Logjam, Bill approached me to create an artist profile to showcase his boards in the water. I always enjoy getting in the water with my camera and was grateful to have George Kirkinis shooting on land. As an owner of a Woodpecker Natural Surfboard, I can only say that these surfboards are true pieces of art.
